The President of the Republic received a congratulatory message from the President of the United States of America

The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, received a congratulatory message from the President of the United States of America, Mr Donald Trump, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of Cyprus.

In his message President Trump stated the following:

“Congratulations on your re-election. Your victory shows that people trust you to continue Cyprus’ economic recovery and to reunify the island as a bizonal, bicommunal federation.

I value the U.S. partnership with Cyprus, which is based upon our shared values and commitment to democracy.

Best wishes to you and the people of Cyprus.”
