A meeting was held today between the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Michalis Giorgallas, and the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Mr Oleksii Reznikov, in the framework of Mr Reznikov’s official visit to Cyprus.

The two Ministers held discussions regarding the developments and the security situation in Ukraine, Cyprus and the wider Eastern Mediterranean region. In addition, they exchanged views on the humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine in the framework of the European Peace Facility, as well as on the wider support of Cyprus to Ukraine and its people.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed the gratitude of his government for the support of Cyprus and thanked Mr. Giorgallas for the hospitality.
