The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January – November 2017. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the sixth digit commodity code and by partner country.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

a. Total imports in January – November 2017 amounted to €7.336,4 mn as compared to €6.444,7 mn in January – November 2016. Total exports in January – November 2017 were €2.677,1 mn compared to €2.515,4 mn in January – November 2016. The trade deficit was €4.659,3 mn in January – November 2017 compared to €3.929,4 mn in the corresponding period of 2016.

b. Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January – November 2017 were €1.132,7 mn compared to €859,5 mn in January – November 2016. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January – November 2017 were €1.036,9 mn compared to €754,1 mn in January –November 2016. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January – November 2017 were €89,6 mn compared to €94,9 mn in January – November 2016.
