The President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, and the Personal Envoy of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General on Cyprus, Ms María Angela Holguín, had their second meeting yesterday at the Presidential Palace.

Following the meeting, Ms Holguín told journalists that she had a good meeting with President Christodoulides, adding that during her stay, she had contacts with the civil society, young people and women, and noted that she will continue these contacts until Sunday when she will leave for meetings in Ankara and Athens, before returning to Cyprus in two weeks.

She also noted that she is very encouraged by what she has heard from the civil society, noting that it is important to be aware of people's feelings and wishes.
