It is noted that the turnout, excluding polling stations for Turkish Cypriots, amounts to 44.6%, compared to 32% in the corresponding 2019 European Parliament Elections.

As regards to the Turkish Cypriots’ turnout this time, it is reported that so far, 4,110 voters registered out of a total of 103,281, have exercised their right to vote, at the dedicated polling stations.

I would like to reiterate that voting continues until 6 p.m. I would like to call upon voters who didn’t vote so far that they shouldn’t wait until 6 p.m., so as to avoid creating queues. I should also mention that due to the timely preparation by the Ministry of Interior, the voting has been running smoothly and as a result no complaints have been reported by the voters in relation to having difficulty with the number of ballots.
