It is a great honor to be here with you today to celebrate with you the Jewish Holiday of Hannukah, the Feast of Light.

Israel and Cyprus have through the years developed cooperation in many fields, among them in the healthcare sector. Specifically, the two countries have already signed an Agreement for cooperation in the area of organ donation and transplant, and are working closely and exchange expertise on specific medical issues.

Kids-patients are always in the centre of any plans we make. The goal is to make their stay in the hospital as short as possible, and at the same time as joyful as it can get. The Dream Doctors Project is here to do so and for that we are very grateful. This unique Israel non-profit organization has developed a modern therapeutic method. Therapeutic medical clowns are visiting our country for the second time (the first one was in 2015) and give children the chance to be merry these days of joy.

Thank you very much, Ambassador Revel for the initiative to host the team of medical clowns in Cyprus. Dear members of the Dream Doctors Project, we are very pleased to have you in Makarios Hospital for Children and I have no doubt that you will pass happiness forward.

On the occasion of the celebrations for the Feast of Light, I am honoured to be with you in this candle lighting ceremony. Happy Hannukah to you and all Jewish people around the world.
