The Press and Information Office announces that within the framework of the application of the Law on Registration and Regulation of Sworn Translators in the Republic, on Saturday 22 June 2019 at 11.30 a.m., a swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Press and Information Office in Lefkosia upon which a first group of translators with be registered in the Register of Sworn Translators.

The ceremony will be addressed by the Director of the Press and Information Office and President of the Council of Registration of Sworn Translators, Ms Sophie Michaelidou, who will also award the certificates to the Sworn Translators. 

The ceremony will be addressed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Mr Kypros Kyprianou.

On the same day, the PIO staff will provide training to the Sworn Translators on how to stamp certified translations and the necessary information on the procedures to be followed by sworn translators based on the relevant legislation.
